NetVision Product Information
In 1995, NetVision released one of the industry's first Identity Management products.
Today, NetVision continues its tradition of supplying cutting edge products with a set of tools for Identity Audit.
NetVision's products provide a sustainable foundation for assessing risk,
monitoring security and auditing results across diverse network environments.
Best practice policy definition, event monitoring, alerting, security assessment and compliance
reporting are all automated and managed from a single console.
NetVision delivers the information and alerts that system administrators and security managers need
without the cost of manual system-by-system or file-by-file analysis.
Realizing its vision of Policing the Power of Identity, NetVision offers three core system components:
Reporting Console – provides a single reporting interface for NVAssess and NVMonitor that is separate from the NetVision policy configuration tools. Business managers and IT auditors can run reports from a web-based interface without intervention from the IT staff. And individual user accounts allows for a customized dashboard view into the most relevant reports for each user.
NVAssess – provides a snapshot of overall security posture by analyzing information stored within enterprise directories and file servers. It provides information needed to assess risk and document compliance status for auditors.
NVMonitor – enables organizations to audit and enforce compliance with best practice behavior policy by tracking directory and files server events in real time. NVMonitor detects non-compliant changes while documenting the transactional information needed to meet regulatory requirements for an independent audit trail.
Architecture
Netvision's backend is powered by proven database technologies by industry leading vendors. Customers
choose their system based on what's right for their existing infrastructure. Options include
Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
NetVision provides built-in integration with Crystal Reports technology that allows efficient
and effective creation of detailed reports, charts or graphs. Our patented technologies pull targeted
user state, system controls, and real-time event information.
Agents
Running a remote report against an LDAP directory usually doesn't require an agent, but watching
file access events on a particular file-system folder requires something on the local machine watching
for those events. So, depending on customer requirements, agents may be a useful architectural component.
