NetVision Introduces Unified Identity Management Audit and Security Platform

New platform extended to Active Directory and eDirectory environments for audit automation across diverse identity management infrastructure.

AMERICAN FORK, Utah – (Feb. 13, 2007) – NetVision, Inc. today announced the extension of its Unified Identity Management Audit and Security Platform to support Active Directory and eDirectory on all host platforms. By combining real-time event and periodic information analysis with heterogeneous directory support, the platform automates the audit of diverse identity management infrastructure. Provisioning, authentication, rights management, administrative behavior and other regulated identity processes are all evaluated from a single console.

Reduced Cost and Integrity

NetVision's unified approach meets two main audit and security objectives.

  • Reduced Cost - Virtually any critical identity control (provisioning, role management, password management, etc.) or application (SAP, Oracle, etc.) can be tracked from a single console. The need for costly, system-by-system reporting and monitoring is eliminated.
  • Integrity - The directory is a more reliable source of identity security information. An audit that relies upon information provided by the individual identity control systems does not reflect actual security posture. For example, user accounts added directly to the directory would not be reflected by an audit of user provisioning event information. Furthermore, NetVision's independence of the control processes under audit enables a more robust separation of duties.

"Organizations today find that the cost and time required to set up and consolidate compliance audit systems for each individual identity processes is prohibitive. NetVision's solution provides them with a single, automated mechanism for auditing compliance across a range of processes," said NetVision Chief Executive Officer, David Rowe. "We save these organizations money, and we help them meet deadline commitments they have made to their boards or auditors."

The NetVision Unified Identity Management Audit and Security Platform is available immediately. Five-hundred user pricing for real-time event monitoring or periodic information assessment capabilities purchased separately is $14 per user. Combined pricing for real-time event and periodic monitoring capabilities purchased together is $21 per user.
